Brandon Bay with son Simon at Hog's Back Falls in Ottawa

Brandon grew up in Bancroft and has happily called Ottawa home since 2006. He lives in Riverside South with his wife, Rachel, and their son, Simon.

As a father, he is focused on the future he will help build for his children. A future where everyone can access and afford healthcare, housing, education, and a good life.

Brandon's values drive his actions. He works hard to better himself and his community every day.

Values

Leadership is ongoing behaviour, not a rank or title. These three values are the foundation I return to every day. They're the standard I hold myself to in work, in community, and in my relationships with others.

These values connect directly to why I serve: politicians should act with respect, passion, and courage, not just pay them lip service in speeches.

Respect

A commitment to treating people like their lives have equal value to mine.

  • Listening to neighbours across Ottawa on housing and community issues.
  • Mentoring developers and first-time advocates.
  • Engaging honestly and without mudslinging in debates, media, and public discourse.

Passion

A commitment to emotionally engaging.

  • Bringing energy to campaigns and community association volunteerism.
  • Leading every team — professional, campaign, competitive gaming — with compassion and personal investment.
  • Advocating for the things that matter, even when progress is slow.

Courage

A commitment to taking action when there is a possibility of loss.

  • Advocating and volunteering, when inaction is the easier path.
  • Standing up for my community, and putting my name forward to represent them.
  • Choosing a career path to maximize the good I can do, instead of the money I can make.
